A great day by any measure beginning in the wee morning hours when a hearty few lambasted 30-40 pound yellowfin to their hearts content. Those that missed the early party we not left out in the cold as the action continued post daylight into the afternoon. We took a couple of breaks to drag up a few "skin" and ditch roving schools of skipjack stretching the opportunity to target the premium quality yellowfin until we had our fill, for now. Opting for a change of pace, scenery, and species we headed forth in the mid afternoon satisfied in every way. Fish laden already in fantastic weather the foundation for continued success is strong. We'll see how the fish gods feel about it tomorrow and beyond. Photo today features Royal Star veteran and friend Don Marso with his prime grade ridge yellowfin tuna.
