Heading out before a freshening breeze we are mighty glad to be traveling in a southerly direction. An angry sea providing a smooth ride is contrary to conventional expectations. But that is indeed what we have. Beginning this annual tradition now 24 four years running, the Ventura County Anglers are ready to roll taking the smooth ride down with pleasure while making tackle preparations for good times to come. Improving conditions beckon from below. The question of course is how that will translate into fishing. Time will tell. And so will I maintaining the daily narrative complete with images.
