Well we went down swinging. Scrapping to the very end we did find the dolphins that we had hoped would be hosting the right size fish. But they weren't. In fact, in a twist of irony not lost on anyone, the tuna found in the "right" zone today were even smaller that the fish above. Fishing at its finest. Not exactly the result we aimed for good times were had regardless. Though dealt a dearth of giant yellowfin to work with we mixed in some production on their smaller brethren and variety to assuage the primal instincts. Headed up the line will be Captain Alex and the boys preparing for our Thursday arrival. The next voyage departs Friday for a shot at local bluefin in what is forecast to be beautiful conditions. Photo today features first time Royal Star angler Chad Bachmann pulling on a nice one while Alex awaits with the gaff. No stranger to long range and giant yellowfin we were stoked for the opportunity to fish with Chad and showcase our brand of fishing. In closing our most sincere gratitude is extended to Charter Master Chris Yamada and the entire group who make this run an event to cherish every year. Thank you!
