The Last Dance

Yesterday we departed on the last trip of the year, a 3 day Bluefin glory trip. One "last dance" to finish off our 2023 season. With the main bulk of Bluefin way down the Baja coast this time of year we know where to point the bow; South. Took us a half a night and a better part of the morning to get the fish located, but when we found them it was game on. Beautiful grade of fish anywhere from 120-250 lbs with some 50-70 pounders mixed in kept the daylight hours rather eventful. So far after night fall we have had some great action also. It sure is shaping up to be a great trip. We'll see if we can end this season and trip with a big bang tomorrow.

Today's Photo honors goes to Royal Star veteran, our friend the silent assassin, Jin Liang. Time and dedication at the rail earned Jin a mid hundreds class Bluefin!

Honorable mentions: Jake Carey gets a bucket list of a catch. Beast from the depths, Escolar! Not a whole lot of people can say they caught one of those! Way to go Jake!
